If you’ve struggled to get your professional speaking career off the ground, or you’re not happy with your current level of success in the business, don’t feel bad. You’re in the majority. This is a VERY tough business. While it’s possible to make it, it can be quite a challenge. Most of the 3,000 plus speakers who call our office every year for career advice are going down the wrong path, following the wrong people or promoting the wrong topic. Before I met great Bill Gove in 1996 and attended his keynote speech workshop, I was making the same mistakes. Luckily, Bill set me straight and my career blossomed. So consider the idea of starting over, like we used to as kids. The “do-over” might be exactly what you need. Watch this short video I taped at Plymouth Rock in Plymouth, Mass. and I’ll look forward to your comments.
