I’ve only spoke to a dozen audiences. So I’m brand new, but I love it.
I’ve never felt more alive then speaking for an hour to a few hundred small business owners in Cancun, Mexico. I shared (to much) information but I knew this information would help them… Then minutes after the end of my presentation it was clear my ideas connected because a group of 15 – 18 circled around asking for more information to help their businesses. That was unplanned and unexpected…
What was really unexpected happened weeks later… I received an unsolicited testimonial that my message had changed how one company was training their sales people and that they had already seen positive results.
Wow, I was hooked!
So, why do I want to speak? To help others…

Steve, I normally enjoy watching and listening to your video clips but today I couldn’t watch beyond the first minute. Perhaps the roads are quieter in America but to see you driving while repeatedly looking at the camera instead of the road was too un-nerving to watch. I can’t now recall what you were speaking about, only that you weren’t looking at the road. Please, please, when you’re driving, drive. That means giving all of your attention and concentration to the task in hand. Seriously bad form and not very professional.

Love your post on “Why do you speak?” as a victom (then) of sept. 11 and having gone through a war, not to mention my life growing up. I do believe that everyone one of us was born specifically for a purpose and what that purpose is, you find out when you have gone through it all and remain “standing firm”. you look back and somehow make sense of it all. How could you not pass it forward?
I am in the process of reading your book “How Rich People Think” incredible! On page 61 you talk about how the middle class thinkers are timid & scared while world class thinkers are aggressive & bold. Steve, that whole page depicts how my life has been thus far. (Looks like you’ve been reading my mail) People see me and wonder “What is he selling now?” or comment that i’m still at chasing something. Little do they know, that when it happens for me, i’ll be there with a big smile on my face and STILL will offer all i can with gratitude. Life is wonderful you only go by once let’s make the best of it and leave a legacy second to none.
I live right off of Lake Lanier, this day i tell you, one day we’ll be on your boat or mine and i will spend the day picking your brain. Thank you for all you do. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

I love your casual attitude…. speaking to us trhough a video while driving!!! This was amazing and even fun! I love your energy and your enthusiastic way of asking such a good question: why do we speak, or why do we do what we do. You made me think… it came to my mind: “Am I doing things for money, or Am I doing things because I really want to do them for a purpose?? The Bible says: “But seek His Kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well”. In other words, we shall seek how we can benefit others through our speaking (which is my passion); therefore, the rest (including the money) will come along.
I live in Mexico City, and I wish to attend one of your speaking seminars some day. My best congratulations, wishing you always the best of the best.
